Wrap the week with the ausbiz team and their expert guests
It’s was a tough day to end a tough (shortened) week, with the markets down about 2.6% for the four trading days. Richard Yetsenga, ANZ chief economist, Azeem Sheriff from CMC Markets and Patrick Idquival from Ebury join Nadine and Andrew to discuss ‘the big picture’ which Richard says all points to demand simply being too strong. Central banks were a key driver of the downside in shares this week, so that dominated our equity discussion with Michael Wayne from Medallion Financial and Dermot Ryan from Renaissance Asset Management.
